Oiliness agent: It is a substance with strong polarity that can adsorb onto the metal surface at relatively low temperatures and pressures, forming a firm adsorption film to prevent direct contact between metals, enhance the strength of the oil film, and reduce friction and wear of metals.
 
Anti-wear agent: Under frictional high temperatures, the decomposition products of the anti-wear agent react with the metal surface, generating a compound film with low shear stress and low melting point, which prevents the biting or welding of the contact surface. The plastic deformation generated fills the uneven parts between the friction surfaces, increasing the contact area, reducing the pressure and decreasing the wear.
 
Viscosity enhancer: It is an additive that improves the viscosity-temperature property of hydraulic oil and increases the viscosity index. This is a type of high-molecular polymer. At low temperatures, it shrinks and curls into tight small balls in the oil, having little effect on low-temperature viscosity. At high temperatures, it swells and stretches in the oil, increasing viscosity and improving viscosity-temperature characteristics.
 
Antifoaming agent: It is a type of substance that can reduce the stability of foam adsorption films and shorten the existence time of foam. Adding anti-foaming additives to the hydraulic oil can reduce the surface tension, enabling bubbles to quickly escape from the oil surface and thus eliminate the bubbles.
 
Pour point depressant: It is a type of additive that can prevent paraffin in oil from forming a network of crystals, lower the pour point, and maintain the fluidity of the oil. This agent lowers the freezing point of the oil by adsorbing on the surface of paraffin crystals or forming eutectics, thereby altering the crystal shape and size of paraffin.
 
Antioxidant: It is a type of additive that is easily oxidized by itself and can form a complex film on the metal surface, isolating it from oxygen and other corrosive substances, and preventing the catalytic effect of metals on the oxidation of oil and the corrosive effect of oil on metals. Generally, the antioxidant effect is better when several antioxidant additives are used in combination.
 
Rust inhibitor: It is a kind of polar compound that can form a firm water-enhancing adsorption film on the metal surface to prevent metal from rusting.
 
Antifungal agent: It can prevent and inhibit the growth of mold in emulsified oil.
 
Demulsifier: It is a type of substance that can effectively separate water from oil or make it settle out.
